"Our vision is to create joyful community for renewal, healing and conscious growth, respectful of spiritual diversity and individual worth; provided through simplicity, natural elegance and loving discernment that is both personally empowering and universally enhancing." Allegheny Springs Retreat Center (ASRC) is located 15 miles southwest of Maryville, Tennessee in the Foothills of the Smoky Mountains. ASRC, located at the base of the Chilhowee Mountain, is 35 minutes from the McGee Tyson (Knoxville) airport located on Highway 129. The Retreat Center consists of 33 acres of secluded woodlands, a century old farmhouse, cabin, meeting lodge, teepee, and campgrounds. The Center can accommodate 20 plus people and is available to individuals, family or small groups for religious, business and organizational functions. All meals are prepared by the retreatants in one of the two fully-equipped kitchens, or catered by prior arrangement. ASRC features a fishing pond, natural spring, hiking trails, and
plenty of quiet places to sit, read, and reflect. There are three rental
units on the property. The farm house can sleep 17
people if guests don't mind sharing close quarters. The cabin
accommodates 8 to 10 people. Camping is available in one of two areas on
the property. The mission of ASRC is to provide a setting in nature where explorations concerning mind-body-spirit interconnections can be lived in an environment respectful of the diversity of life. |
