Experience Works, Inc. Senior Community Service Employment
Program (SCSEP) Purpose:
to enable job seekers 55 and older to
find employment through training in
community service assignments at non
profit or public agencies, and when
necessary, specialized training at
various educational organizations. In
addition participants receive coaching
in how to find meaningful employment.
Training is usually 20 hours a week and
participants receive $5.15 per hour. Eligibility requirements: 55 or
older senior workerwho is
currently unemployed, low income and a
resident of Blount County. The
applicant must be ready and willing to
seek employment.
