Announcing the
2010 Historic College Hill District Home Tour
Sunday, April 18, 2010 – 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

 

WHO: Historic College Hill Neighborhood Association, Maryville, TN

 

WHAT: 2010 Tour of Historic Homes – Featuring 7 unique historic locations in Maryville’s first subdivision and the Maryville College Historic District.

 

Featured Locations in the College Hill Historic District

  503 Court St. – 1910 – Victorian - 2 story frame. Corner of Court & Goddard

 

103 Indiana Ave.  – 1905 - I-plan, 2 story frame. Corner of Court & Indiana

 

209 Indiana Ave. – 1879 – T-plan, 2 story frame. Believed to be the original farmhouse on the land.

 

802 Montvale Rd. “Above & Beyond Interior Design” – formerly “Huff & McMurray Market’ – first convenience store for the neighborhood.

 

919 Court St. – 1915 Craftsman style Bungalow, 1-1/2 story - Former home of the Lombe Honaker and Boydson Baird families.

 

Featured Locations in the Maryville College Historic District

Willard House – Maryville College Campus – built in 1891 for Samuel Boardman, President of Maryville College.

 

RT Lodge, Guest Houses, and Gardens – built in 1932 - Maryville College Woods. Formerly known as "Morningside," home of Mrs. Susan Cooper Walker.

 

WHEN: Sunday, April 18, 2010 – 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

 

WHERE:  College Hill Historic District and Maryville College Historic District

 

TICKETS    
$10 each (children 12 & under free when accompanied by paying adult). Advance tickets may be purchased at Above and Beyond Custom Interiors, 802 Montvale Rd. (corner of Montvale Rd & Indiana Ave.) beginning April 1st; or by mailing a check payable to HCHNA with a SASE (self-addressed stamped envelope) to: College Hill Neighborhood Association, 209 Goddard Ave., Maryville, TN 37803, no later than April 5th, with your ticket request.  

 

Tickets may also be purchased at any featured Historic Home Tour site on the day of the tour.

 

FREE EVENT:  Maryville College-Community Concert Band - Spring Concert

April 18th - 4 p.m. Clayton Center for the Arts - Main Auditorium

Maryville College-Community Concert Band, under the direction of Dr. Larry Smithee, associate professor of music, will be playing overtures, Broadway show tunes and traditional marches for concert band and wind ensembles.
