Gianna Violins
Gianna Violins
gradually arose
during the 1990's
from the
collaboration of
Stephen Perry, a
skilled musician and
luthier, and Gianna
Perry, an artist
born in Torino,
Italy. The two work
together in a small
shop overlooking
Fort Loudoun Lake
just southwest of
Knoxville, Tennessee
in the old Quaker
town of
Friendsville. The
shop is open by
appointment only,
please
contact us.
We enjoy having
visitors - drop us a
line if you're in
east Tennessee! |

Stephen and Gianna were
driven to develop better
violins by the weak
performance and nearly
identical appearance of
most violins available
to real people who don't
have $10,000 for a
violin from a recognized
name, but who deserve
the performance of a
powerful and
sophisticated instrument. |

Gianna Violins MORE |
Musicians
need good instruments, properly set up, that
don't cost a fortune
Poorly set up, weak sounding, or difficult
to play instruments retard learning and
often drive students away from music
entirely. Buying instruments over the web
or in a store can be bewildering; thousands
of choices confuse beginners and
professionals alike.
The
ideal music shop doesn't exist
Are
you looking for a shop that offers a
tremendous variety of instruments in a wide
range of prices, with full setup and
customization services from skilled
builders? We've never seen such a shop.
More commonly, you will find only a small
selection (or 200 of the same thing!) with
little or no setup available. You can also
find plush violin showrooms with copious
"help" from commission-driven salesmen. Do
you really want to pay for lavish
decorations and staff 401(k)'s? The price
you pay in fancy shops includes much fancy
overhead! |
