Not far from the boundaries of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park lie miles of scenic secondary roads. They wind through wooded knobs beside cool streams and meander through rolling farmlands with panoramic views of lofty mountain crests beyond. Through this pleasant land are selected routes particularly appropriate for use by bicyclists. Some are described in this web site. Swinging bridges and country stores, white-framed churches and old cemeteries add local interest to the routes.
