Cades Cove

Location: Cades Cove, Great Smoky Mountains National Park. From Townsend Visitors Center in Townsend, 2.9 miles to Y intersection in Park: Right 7 miles to Cades Cove; left to Campground and Store.

Length: 11 mile loop

Level: Great for all level of bicyclists.

Type Road: Paved

Features: Wildlife, cabins, churches, mill, mountain streams, panoramic vistas.

Access: Turn right from Townsend Visitors Center, 7906 E. Lamar Alexander Parkway. Follow Hwy. 73 to ‘Y’ intersection. Turn right and follow to Cades Cove. Parking available at Cades Cove Store.

Bicycles may be rented April through October at the Cades Cove Bike Shop. On Wednesday and Saturdays, Memorial Day through Labor Day, the Loop Road is closed to autos from sunrise until 10:00 a.m. During this time it is bicycles only! For more information, call 865-448-9034.
